Once information is made available, learn how to organize, much like preparing ingredients needed for cooking. Organizing ingredients helps one come up with a process for preparation and cooking. Brevity can be achieved through proper organization. Some individuals are risk-takers, going off without having an understanding of the recipe. This should not be the case for writers. Refer to the recipe to understand the writing flow better. Rough drafts and outlines are great samples of effective writing recipes. Steve Sorensen.

The actual act of writing requires one to mix into a pot all the words, sentences, and paragraphs necessary to finish a piece. Good writing is a product of effective preparation. Leave the finished work for some time, much like covering a pot and letting a dish simmer. This may be unpopular for writers beating a deadline, but doing so will certainly improve the quality of their work. Steve Sorensen.
